Jerome Stenberg, my Father, built over 300 homes over a 30 year career.  It was a natural progression that my wife Bonnie and I take over the business when Dad decided to slow down a bit.

After working under Dad for 25 years plus doing my own projects I am delighted to carry our families tradition of craftsmanship. J Bar 6 Builders depicts my 6 member family.
 

The Stenberg family immigrated from Central Norway and brought their love of Nordic Architecture with them. Nordic Architectural employs a combination of hewn beam and log to produce an extraordinary unique timeless look. The Stave Churches that dot the valleys of Norway date back 1,000 years and many are in use today. There is no metal connections used and rely on the time-tested method of Nordic timber framing.

 

While we don’t anticipate a run-on Stave Church contracts coming our way, however, we do try to keep the ancient Nordic craftmanship visible in our wood crafting.
